The Giardini at nine in the morning, empty. It is the only way to see the Biennale and still be able to think.
We arrange access during the vernissage days, with a curator who knows which pavilions are worth the hour and which are worth the whole morning. Lunch on the Giudecca afterwards, and a private water taxi that waits rather than the other way round.
The preview days are the last week of April. They are invitation-only, which is rather the point.
